General Cable Peru was founded in 2007 to increase the sales and distribution of copper and aluminum alloy cables and electrical wires, serving mainly the Mining, Industry and Commerce markets.  Later in 2018, the companies of the General Cable group were acquired by Prysmian Group, an undisputed world leader in the electric cable and fiber optic market.
